What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels — most commonly made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in the body — that add volume, structure, and hydration beneath the skin surface. Unlike neurotoxin, which relaxes muscles, fillers physically fill and lift areas of volume loss or deflation.
Common Treatment Areas
- Lips — volume and definition
- Nasolabial folds (smile lines)
- Marionette lines
- Cheeks and midface volume restoration
- Under-eye hollows (tear troughs)
- Jawline and chin definition
- Temples
What to Expect
Filler appointments typically take 30–60 minutes depending on areas treated. Topical numbing is applied for comfort. Results are immediate, though mild swelling may be present for 24–72 hours. Most HA fillers last 6–18 months depending on the product and area treated.
Physician Supervision
All filler treatments at TBB are performed under physician oversight. A thorough consultation reviews your anatomy, goals, and health history before any product is placed. Hyaluronidase (filler reversal enzyme) is always on-site.
